Are you envied?
Written by Michele T on November 18, 2007 – 4:19 pm -| People Envy Your Ingenuity |
![]() You’re a person with unique ideas, big plans, and a zany outlook on life. Many people look to you for inspiration. People envy your creativity and “who cares?” attitude. They feel very ordinary next to you – and they usually are! |
I just love these little things Grandy does over at Functional Shmunctional! I thought it would be nice to have a little more weekend fun like last weekend. It’s odd how the answers always seem to match my personality to a T (except for my “who cares” attitude. I sometimes care what others think.) If you want to play along, be sure to come back and leave the link to yours or at least copy and paste the results in the comments.
Grandy also tagged me for a meme.Well, if you’ve read my Random 8 Meme, Crazy 8s Meme, or even Random 7 Meme, I don’t know if there’s much left to share
But I’ll try and hopefully this won’t be like an old black and white rerun…
“Five Things About Me That You May Not Know”
1. I have rheumatoid arthritis. Some days or worse than others. There are some things I can’t do, but life is good and I make the best of it
2. When I was a teen, I just had to wear hats and shoes with big wide ribbons and polka dots and stripes–together! Yes, I was weird
3. Every time I go to a store, I keep my eyes open for anyone that might need help. If an elderly, bowed over person drops a few can goods or can’t reach an item, I run to the rescue. There’s been times someone couldn’t read and asked me which product said what and I’ll stop and read the labels so they can compare and make their purchase. What’s an extra few minutes out of the day to help someone, right?
4. Although I don’t watch it, I still love that show Reading Rainbow. Don’t ask me why, I just do ;0)
5. Ah yes, finally number five. Hmmm… I sing. Yes, I sing… at churches, reunions, etc. And as you may have guessed, I love to sing the slow songs, the ones that are calming and really touch people’s hearts….
Hope you enjoyed my meme!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and relax, unless you’re like me: still writing the cyber highway!

Michele,
This is a beautiful post. I enjoyed learning more about you. I wish I could sing, but can’t carry a tune in a bushel hamper. LOL.
I also have arthritis and know how painful that can be. You are young to have such an ailment.
Take care, my friend. I enjoyed visiting with you, as always.
Blessings,
Mary

Hi Mary,
Yes, I suppose I am young to have arthritis. They think it was brought on by the trauma of the domestic violence. I’ve also had scoliosis since I was a child so… I’m really not sure how long I had it before it was diagnosed. I do herbs and natural remedies for it, though, and fair pretty well I think
I’m glad you enjoyed my weekend post. I sure enjoyed yours about your Grandma and wash day!
Grandmas are the best

Michele

Hi Michele,
Fun weekend break post.
You have many great talents. Keep on singing – all music is a gift of God! And it’s healing – I listen to Beethoven when my arthritis kicks in!
Ahhh…a stripes and polka dots girl. My hats had ruffles. Now that would be a fun weekend personality test – What does your hat say about you?
blessings,
julia

Hi Julia,
Aren’t these little things fun? I love ‘em!
Yea, I was a colorful gal. I guess you could say I still am, just toned down a bit
And… I still love hats but I don’t wear ‘em.
Smiles,
Michele

Apparently ***People Envy My Compassion*** I have a kind heart and an unusual empathy for all living creatures. I tend to absorb others’ happiness and pain. People envy my compassion, and more importantly, the connections it helps me build. And compassionate as I am, I feel for them.
lol
I always enjoy learning more about you Michele. Strangely enough I have arthritus too. I take Glucosamine to stop from falling apart. I also sing, not perfectly but I enjoy doing it. Of course, I NEVER wore polka dots or strips in school. I occasionally wore checkers. I went through a flannel phase for about three years and the only hats I’ve ever worn are baseball caps. I’m pretty Tom Boyish.
Always a lot of fun over here, especially on the weekend. I’m looking forward to learning more about you.

Hi Rebecca,
That’s neat to know why people envy you. It sounds just like you!
I’m glad you enjoyed my meme. I don’t take Glucosamine. I do stay away from white sugar and white flour as they aggravate the inflammation and make the pain worse. I treat myself once in a while, but 99% of the time, I stay away.
I don’t drink soda either
Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. Flannel, eh? Take care and we’ll see what fun this coming weekend has in store for us!
Smiles,
Michele

Michele;
Thanks for posting the game AND for playing with the meme. I can always count on you to play with me on weekends.
We’ll have to do a duet sometime.

Michele,
I’m sorry you have RA. You have a wonderful, strong spirit.
You are envied! I love to do what I call “sing”, but I use that word loosely. Anyone within the sound of my voice would not call what I do “singing”. Ok, I’m not really envious – I’m happy for everyone who can sing, because the other thing I like to do is listen to singing. So I keep quiet and let the singers sing. It’s a win/win situation! LOL
I enjoyed your post.
Smiling right back at you,
Tina

Thank you, Tina! It’s always such a joy to have you visit
Oh, sing anyways. We can all make a joyful noise! The Bible says so!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and here’s to a great week
Smiles,
Michele

Hi Michele,
The only one thing from the list of 5 I didn’t know about you is the hats and shoes and stripes and polka dots fetish. Lol. Oh, and maybe about loving Reading Rainbow. My kids used to love that show. Is it still on PBS? I haven’t checked in a while.
As for your singing, I have heard you sing, and you sing beautifully!
Okay, got to run. So much to do, so little time!
Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving with your family. Enjoy the stuffing and veggies, and a little desert, too.
Blessings and Hugs,
Renie

Hi Renie,
It’s nice for you to stop by
Well, I guess you learned a couple of things about me you didn’t know! I think Reading Rainbow is still on. I’ll have to double check to make sure ;0)
Thanks so very much for your sweet words about my singing!
You enjoy your Thanksgiving, too, Renie–you deserve a great holiday!
Oh, I’ll have a little pecan pie and turtle pie–just a little, though
I’m anxious to see how this Thanksgiving turns out… since I’m not eating meat…
Smiles,
Michele

Michele,
Thank you.
I “sing” up a storm when I’m by myself. I find it chases the blues away. LOL
I did want to stop by to say:
Happy Thanksgiving!!
smiling right back at you,
Tina
