I’m a Punk Duck at Write-from-Home.com!!!

I know it was more than coincidence that I happened upon an amazing ezine as I was searching for writing markets last year. Excited to find a new market to submit my work to, I quickly sent off a query to the editor. It wasn’t long before I heard back with an acceptance. Boy, what a nice surprise that was! I had been wading through rejection letters (trying not to let them get me down) so when I read that this editor loved my piece and wanted to buy it (and pay for it right away via PayPal), I was overjoyed!
That editor ended up publishing a few articles of mine. She was always professional and a joy to work with. She also started a blog, which I began reading religiously. She shared markets, writing gigs, information, and much more. I’m still following that blog (which eventually merged with the write-from-home.com website/ezine and it’s always fun and informative.
So, the other day when we were chatting in her comments, I mentioned I thought I’d been reading her blog since it was first born and she said she thought I was the first one who ever commented and she wanted to make me something for sticking with her so long. I had NO CLUE what she’d end up making. If you know Amy at all, you know what I’m talking about! 
But I was elated when I received an e-mail with the subject line: Punk Duck Award. She made me an award and I love it! I’ve displayed it in the sidebar (proudly). I’m honored to be a Punk Duck!! Thanks, Amy!

Ha! You posted the punk duck! LOL I’m glad you like it. As I said before, anyone who has listened to me ramble on for over a year deserves a prize.
I tried to find a real duck to paint purple and send you, but no luck.

I doubt that I’ll be considered a punk duck,and that’s ok. I donot write professionally nor do I want to I just enjoy doing my blog with out deadlines or commitments. I truely Hope that you had a great weekend.

Yep, I posted the punk duck! You knew I would! I planned on doing it Saturday but lotsa stuff happened (nothing bad!) so I didn’t have time. Well, your rambles aren’t as bad as you think – they’re quite interesting, actually!
As for the REAL DUCK painted purple… OH MY! I’m glad you couldn’t find one to paint! hehehe

Mike, you never know!
Writing is my life, so I’ll always cherish it. But some folks just aren’t writers and if we were all the same the world would be SO boring, eh? Hope you had a great weekend, too! I did!

Congratulations Michele! I love the duck and I happen to be a huge fan of Amy. I am not sure how she fits that enormous talent into her little body. The woman is even a genius on Twitter! I am really happy for your success and know that we will be tuning in for more great news from you.

Lindsay, I didn’t get a physical version (although Amy threatened to find and paint a REAL duck and mail it to me!).
Hopefully, when/if she reads your comment, she doesn’t go ahead and do that! hehehe

Grandy, I’ve already e-mailed you about the guest post (of course I want a guest post from you!!!).
I have been reading your blog, girl, but haven’t taken time to comment (sorry!) so I knew you were on the mend (and I saw that you’ve been blogging for a WHOLE YEAR already)! Girl, you have a huge following already and they’re loyal, too, so you’ve done an AWESOME job!!!

Thanks, Karen! I love the duck, too – and Amy!!
Yeah, she has TONS of talent. I love her stories and poetry and her blog posts are just almost too much sometimes! She’s way cool! 
Ah, I’m not on Twitter… I know, I know… Can’t be everywhere, eh?!
